Weekend weather rundown: 4-14-18

UPDATE: Tornado warnings and severe thunderstorm warnings have been issued throughout the morning in areas across central Mississippi.

In North Mississippi on Saturday there will be showers and thunderstorms during the day, and some thunderstorms may be severe this morning. Highs will be in the lower 70’s. Saturday night it will be cloudy and much colder. There will be showers and thunderstorms in the evening, and a chance of showers after midnight.  Lows will be in the lower to mid 40’s. On Sunday it will be mostly sunny in the morning, then become cloudy. Highs will be in the mid 50’s. On Sunday night it will be cloudy in the evening and should eventually clear up. There will be patchy frost after midnight, and lows will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

In Central Mississippi on Saturday it will be cooler and there will be thunderstorms and showers during the day. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall. Highs will be in the lower 70’s.  On Saturday night it will be partly cloudy after midnight, with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening. There will be a slight chance of showers after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce heavy rainfall in the evening. Lows will be in the mid 40’s. On Sunday it will be cool and mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50’s. On Sunday night it will be mostly clear with patchy frost after midnight. Lows will be in the mid to upper 30’s.

In South Mississippi on Saturday there will be showers and thunderstorms during the day. Some thunderstorms may be severe with heavy rainfall in the afternoon. Highs will be in the mid 70’s. On Saturday night there will be showers and thunderstorms in the evening with a chance of showers and slight chance of thunderstorms after midnight. Lows will be in the upper 40’s. On Sunday it will be sunny with highs in the mid 60’s. On Sunday night it will be mostly clear with lows in the upper 30’s.
