Here’s your Mississippi Weekend

Looking for something fun to do this weekend? There’s something for everyone in the Magnolia state.

Coming up this weekend in Southaven is the 20th Annual Southaven Fishing Rodeo. Wake up early for a fun day out on the pond in Jim Saucier Park. It’ll be stocked full of catfish, with free breakfast, trophies and prizes for the kiddos all the way up to age 12.

Also in Southaven this weekend is the Repticon Memphis Reptile and Exotic Animal Show. It’s at the Landers Center. It’s a fun family event with pets, supplies, feeders, cages and merchandise. Don’t miss out on the live animal seminars and reptile raffles.

Get a taste of some great music. Over in Natchez is the Great Big Yam Potatoes Old Time Music and Fiddle Contest. Musicians from all over the state are getting together at the historic Jefferson College for a weekend full of music that celebrates the traditions and roots of the music we love today.

In Bateseville is the SpringFest. It kicks off on Friday May 19 and runs through Saturday. They’ll have carnival rides, food, music, and more. Don’t miss out on the fun in Bateseville.
